The Town Centre of Kungsbacka, 15 minutes

Like most towns in Halland, Kungsbacka dates from the 13th century. In 1846 the old wooden town of Kungsbacka was more or less destroyed by fire, which left the majority of the town's 500 inhabitants homeless.

Today, only two houses remain from the time before the fire. Kungsbacka was rebuilt around the turn of the century and the inner town with its pastel-coloured wooden houses has an idyllic charm.
